Tucson “Close the Border” activist Roy Warden, aka “The Notorious Mexican Flag Burner,” revealed today that Patricia Orozco, the Arizona Appellate Court Judge who wrote the opinion which upheld the Court’s refusal to comply with an important public records request submitted by embattled Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, is a member of the radical, “Pro Raza” group “Los Abogados.”
Warden is quite familiar with “Los Abogados...”
Last year Warden, working with a small group of Arizona political activists, revealed the profound impact of “Los Abogados” and their extraordinary ability to influence judicial policy from the lowest Arizona City Courts right up to the Arizona Supreme Court; revelations that ultimately resulted in the disgrace and resignation of Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Ruth McGregor.
With the present revelations regarding U.S. Supreme Court Appointee Sonia Sotomayor’s membership in La Raza, the Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court Ruth McGregor’s bending over to implement “Pro-Raza” policy, and now Judge Patricia Orozco’s membership in “Los Abogados,” Americans are finally waking up to a harsh reality: American Judges apply the law according to their own personal political inclinations. “Judge Orozco is ‘Pro-Raza.’ She doesn’t like Joe Arpaio. She doesn’t like Arpaio’s politics. She doesn’t like Arpaio’s enforcement of the law regarding Illegal Mexican Aliens. At the very least the Canons of Judicial Conduct required her to recuse herself from having anything to do with this decision,” said Warden. Regarding Orozco’s ruling which upholds a lower court’s refusal to turn over important emails regarding Joe Arpaio, Maricopa Deputy Chief Sheriff Paul Chagolla stated: “Once again, the courts have created a rule that exempts them from transparency. They are obligated to comply with the (open records) statute. This provides them with a shroud of secrecy.” “When Arpaio appeals this ruling he should also present the argument that Orozco’s decision was based on her ‘Pro-Raza’ political beliefs and not the law,” said Warden. “It’s shocking how Arizona Courts have come to believe they are exempt from the provisions of
Warden says he’s going to initiate his own public records request regarding the unusual circumstances surrounding the resignation of Arizona Chief Justice Ruth McGregor. Last month Warden sent a letter to newly appointed Chief Justice Rebecca White Berch asking if she would “…continue former Chief Justice Ruth McGregor’s policy of sending documents to the lower courts to address the ‘political concerns’…of radical, race based political activist groups such as Los Abogados…” “The Arizona Supreme Court has not answered,” said Warden. “The Court decided to stonewall, so next fall when the weather cools down we’re gonna kick it up a notch, go up to Phoenix, hold a rally in front of the Arizona Supreme Court, burn a couple of Mexican Flags, get right in their ugly ‘Pro-Raza’ faces, let the public know just how partisan Arizona judges are, ” said Warden. “By the time we’re done,
“If they think they can continue to shove their ‘Pro Raza’ bias down the public’s throat, we’re going to show them otherwise.” |
