The other day  we Americans had a Tea Party, to express our political frustrations and to re-assert the essential American relationship between government and We the People.

In 1776 America was defined by these simple principles: that all men are created equal, that limited government is best, and, that to secure individual rights governments are instituted amongst men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed...

…that to secure (individual rights), governments are instituted amongst men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Several days ago, in a preemptory strike against Tea Parties in general and we the governed in particular, the Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano issued an intelligence assessment which played the race card and warned that “right wing extremists in the United States are gaining new recruits by exploiting fears about the economy and the election of the first black U.S. president...”

Yesterday, the anger of we the people towards the Obama administrations, and government abuse, was palpable, the left wing media’s indifference was predictable, and, when you connect the dots between Obama’s plunge towards socialism, Napolitano’s intelligence assessment and yesterday’s Tea Party, a clear pattern emerges:

We Americans are in the beginning stages of a new revolution, to re-assert the essential values our forefathers won in the first American Revolution.

Unlike the founders we will not be compelled to fight this revolution with guns. The First American Revolution gave us the power of speech and assembly; the Second American Revolution and Martin Luther King showed us the way.

As Lincoln said at Gettysburg, “We are now engaged in a great civil war testing whether this nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure.”

Yesterday, from sea to shining sea, the American people lawfully gathered in an act of defiance to restate the principles of the Declaration of Independence and Abraham Lincoln.

Yesterday, with the resounding success of the Tea Party, the battle line between the power of collective interests and individual rights was clearly drawn.

The American people are awakening. The Third American Revolution, to throw off the chains of our oppression and to reclaim our birthright, has begun.
