Public sources now confirm what TPD rank and file officers have always known about Richard Miranda:  for years he played the race card and the politics of “Chicanismo” while serving as Chief of the Tucson Police Department.

Even before his appointment as Tucson Police Chief in 1998 Miranda was an active member of Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), a left wing, political activist group promoting “chicanismo” and advancing an ethnically oriented, pro Hispanic viewpoint.

“Miranda was a ‘Chicano’ cop. The Tucson City Council hired him for his pro-chicano activism. It was something we had to deal with,” said a highly placed TPD source off the record. “Miranda gave Tucson City Council members political viability within the radical Hispanic community.”

Miranda, who recently was appointed as Tucson City Assistant Manager,  is now listed as an “advisor” to the  radical group.

“Chicanos por la Causa bills itself as a progressive, community based group,”  said CS II Press publisher Roy Warden, aka 'The Notorious Mexican Flag Burner.' ‘Progressive’ is just another code word for socialist.”

On its website CPLC states: “CPLC expouses affiliates and maintains subsidiaries to fortify its  position within the community it serves.” These affiliates include racist groups like  MEChA, La Raza  and other radical  groups.

“The Calli Ollin Academy is part of this progressive organization,” said Warden. “Along with Pima County Legal Defender Isabel Garcia I’ve got Calli Ollin under federal suit. Their teachers organized and directed the students who assaulted us on several occasions during the Tucson Weekly Public Forum in 2007, all under the eye of TPD officers who stood by and refused to lift a finger to protect public safety.”

Since 2006 when he first  became active on border issues,  Warden has maintained that progressive, racially oriented, radical Left Wing  Hispanic politics controls Tucson City and Pima County legal and political institutions.

“Isabel Garcia is not just some ‘rogue’ Pima County official, notwithstanding  her recent ‘beheading’ of Sheriff Joe Arpaio” said Warden. “Ever since her appointment as head of the Legal Defender's office,  Garcia has implemented  Pima County Open Border Policy.

“But behind the scenes are  guys  like Jim Click and Don Diamond,  the 'good old boys' who pull the strings, rich, white, Republican 'Fat-Cat' Bastards  who want an endless stream of cheap Mexican Alien workers to exploit,” Warden  said.

“Pima County Open Border Policy was always about greed and money. The Pima County right wing has always used the left wing and radical politics as a smokescreen to divert public attention away from their own commercial interests.

"For thirty years Pima County Fat Cats  have gotten filthy rich off the exploitation of Mexico ’s poor.”
